Not much point really is there. Unless you agree that the Town Council are brilliant and that David Wilson is the devil incarnate.

Kiddo not everyone has the same assumptions that you do, every member of this group has their own opinions. Before you continue to slag off the Town Council once again I will give once again offer you the option to do something about it yourself at the next elections. I have no personal comments to make on the subject of David Wilson unlike alot of members that do, they also obviously feel they are justified in making those comments and are just as welcome to post them in this group as you are to post your own comments. But Just because your voice is appears to be a lonely one in the corner and no one else in this forum appears to agree with you on particular subjects is no reason to be bitter in some of the posts that you do put. For that reason I have chosen to leave your post and not delete it, as you have just as much right to your say as our other members have. This Forum obviously is going to have alot of talk about both the Town Council and our Allerdale Councillors as I am one of the people behind the site and I do not try to hide that fact that I am on the Town Council. I have given people an outlet, not just for people to have their say but to advertise what is happening around the town. People also use the site as an outlet to voice their annoyance as I notice you have done in another post today on the white car that is racing around the town. People know that I am a Town Councillor and they obviously feel that to aim these comments on here is away of voicing their own opinions by allowing them an avenue on which to be heard. We value the opionions of all our members, but we will not sit back and let you have a go at some of our other members for voicing their opinions either. --------------------------------------------------------- Bex I have to agree with you the forum has been very quiet, I have hardly been in here due to illness and would not have been in here tonight had I not received a phone call about someones posting in here.

Well it might stir it up then and get some debate going. As it stands you have a few posters agreeing with each other and very few posts. I do take on other peoples views but it doesnt mean I have to agree with them. You obviously think that I am totally selfish for not thanking you at every turn for running this forum, well sorry but you must get something out of it or else why would you do it. Janice well done for setting this forum up,it is more than I could have done but please stop taking things to heart, have you never thought that some posts you perceive as "attacking" are purely because there is a lack of personal contact in a forum that you get in face to face speech.

I enjoy the councils newsletter ( well done janice) but I have been asked a few times why artificial flowers can not be put in the Churchyard, as one lady said ' I can't get to the Churchyard very often and I put artificial flowers on so I know they will be flowers on my Mothers grave' It wasn't mentioned in the Church link magazine. Can anyone explain 'Why' they have been banned.

It would seem more and more churchyards are putting regulations on what can and can not go on the graves. My cousin recently found that she could no longer put anything other than a vase of fresh flowers on her mothers grave. That is in Wales though, She wanted to put a picure monument stone up but was also stopped from doing that, only simple ornament stones can be placed on the graves there. I to would be very interested to find out who sets the regulations for churchyards, is it the church itself or is it a higher authority.

Hi Everyone, sorry I have not been around for a while, I have not been well enough to sit at the computer for to long and have only concentrated on things I knew had to be done. Fudpucker I have no answer as to why the regulations for the church yard have changed, I received the post as an article for inclusion in the Town Council Newsletter, may be some one from the church could be more helpful have you tried contacting the Vicar?

Hello, Has everyone emigrated? Unless we are all happy with our lives and the town in general. Surely someone somewhere must have at least one gripe!

Sorry Resident I have not been very well recently so have not been online as often as I should be. I will however do my best to get here more often, Henry and I have been thinking about redesigning this forum by taking some sections out of it and adding some new ones. We think if we make it a lot less political as it seems to have become we may get more people in here. If any of you have any ideas on what you would like to see added or removed from this forum please leave a message for us in here. Thanks Janice
