| | I really do think we should have a greater police presence in Aspatria although the cold nights seem to be keeping nearly everyone indoors. |

| | I agree Bex, but their police cars have Air Conditioning so they should be warm while they drive/park. |

| I still cant understand why we dont get any "Police Presence" in here, it would help to pass information on. I know they are busy etc, i seen a ex police officer talking on a day time show last week, because he is standing for Mayor of London, but i agreed with what he said ........... They took on Police Support Officers, who have limited knowledge, no powers of search / arrest, and place them on the Streets, then they make Police Officers stay in the office writing reports for some thing like 40 % of they day. Why didnt they keep the Support Officers int the offcie writing forms/reports and keep the Trained Police Officers on the streets?? Its a good questions, seems its been done the wrong way round!! |

| I see the police were out in force yesterday afternoon, stood outside the Queen St car park with a radar gun! Its a pity they chose a saturday afternoon though instead of a weekday evening. They were not in Aspatria long either, but then news would have travelled around fast that they were there. |

| | I noticed the bus shelter had been smashed again on Sunday, I hope that the culprits are caught this time and made to pay for the damage. But you can bet your @## that the towns cctv will not have picked them up, so once again the town will have to foot the cost of replacing it. |

| I think the CCTV should be scrapped, it never actually catches any people commiting crime, or as it? does anyone actually know if it as been used in any Police action? I think it would be better biting the bullet and upgrading it and extending it. I think i mentioned previously that unless it actually catches anyone and is used against them by the Police it will just be an expensive on-cost with no benefit to the Town. |

| My I am getting forgetful I had forgotten I had posted about the bus shelters being smashed and just posted the same thing in the vandalism section. So do we know if the culprits were caught then? Henry I have to agree with you cctv is no good unless it picks up the faces and manages assist the police in their capture. |
