How do you go about setting up a neighbourhood watch in our street?

Resident you would need to contact John Thornthwaite and depending on which area of Aspatria you are in, you might find there is already a group up and running already in that area. You can contact him by the Neighbourhood watch webiste http://cumbria-nhw.org or by the following.

Hi Everyone,

I am not sure if people are aware of a system which Neighbourhood Watch uses called Voice Connect?

Its very simple and effective, you supply them with your options for been contacted, Mobile including Text, House telephone and also email. Then when any information about scams, crime etc comes in the send a message out.

I have received one today about a Mobile Phone Scam, some one phones your mobile saying they are an engineer and asking you to press #90, once this is done you give them access to your Sim Card and letting them use your Mobile to use calls at your expense.

I would recommend signing up to the Voice Connect Scheme, you can get more information from the Neighbourhood Watch Web Site.
