Hang on a minute both my kids go to school in the town and heard nothing of this event,i have seen nothing of it until now and judging it at the start of september seems a bit premature, surely haloweeen would have been better, this is something i would have took part in as well. Was it stuck in the town newsletter that is out not that i got one of those either i thought the idea was to distribute it to every home.

Kiddo There is a poster on http://www.aspatrias-voice.co.uk/ the judging is not until 31st October. You need an entry form off Wendy Campbell, Yarra House, 58 King St, Aspatria and entry is £1 all proceeds go to Gala Day 2008. Its an excellent idea and I personally hope it does take off. There are posters around town and outside Wendys as well. So all I can say is hurry up get your entry form and get making your witch you have just over 3 weeks to judging day. Good Luck!!!

Posters and entry forms were sent to the school weeks ago, It will be judged on Halloween, 31st Oct as it says on the posters. You put your witches out it only costs £1 to enter and you could win £25. They were put out early has the kids are off for half term the week before and parents forget.

Had a drive round to see the witches, brilliant, hope it takes off next year. Got Mother in laws frock picked out already !!! Have to think of something to give her a few more wrinkles and warts before next year. Though she stands a good chance of winning already.
