I would like to ask the town council why it was not possible to put the Xmas tree on Brandraw carpark straight. All you can see as you come up Station Hill is the Leaning Tree of Spyatree. Please if possible could it be straightened it looks a bloomin joke as it is.

Kiddo I have asked if the tree can be straightened, but no reply has yet been forthcoming. I think wonky trees must be the in thing at the moment, I went to my Grandaughters Christening in Bury today and sure enough the Christmas tree in one of the towns nearby had a tree as wonky as ours is.

I did notice today that the tree is still leaning. It is probably down to the contractors that put the tree up in the first place, they will have rushed it. Everything appears to be rushed at this time of year. The amount of lights that have been put up in Aspatria this year appears to have grown I love the tree made out of rope lights in the centre of the Town it is absolutely stunning.

I was informed earlier tonight at the Parks and Allotments meeting that the Christmas Tree on Brandraw Car Park was not leaning it was apparently due to the shape of the trunk of the tree. Bex I have to agree that the tree made out of the rope lights in the centre of town was beautiful.

I would describe the shape of the trunk as leaning to the right quite a lot then!!!!!!!! Maybe if they had put it up with the shape of the trunk"leaning" to the school then I and others wouldnt have noticed the shape of the trunk at all.

Kiddo you are so right but would you not think that who ever did put that tree up would have had the sense to think of that. It seems everything is done in such a rush that all they want to do is get it done and get home. Even the road near the entrance to the car park at Queen st seems to have developed two speed humps, no doubt they were in rush to finish the job so they could get home in time for tea.

I think the tree would look better on Bray lamp than next to toilets or even beside the momument. ( A straight one though )
